Picture this: you are sitting in a meeting. You share your ideas about an appeal campaign or a special event or your website. You look around the room and think to yourself,
"I don't really know what I am doing. All of my colleagues think I am incompetent too.”
You are not alone. Impostor Syndrome is a psychological phenomenon. It is common in the fundraising sector.
In this session, Sam Laprade shares her story. She reveals how she battled Impostor Syndrome. Her struggle included work with donors, senior leadership, with Board Members and colleagues. She'll break down the barriers in these challenges and share some of the techniques that worked for her in managing these feelings of self-doubt.
As a professional fundraiser with 27 years of experience, Sam will share real life examples of how this affected her career. Most importantly, you'll learn how she managed these challenges and thrives in a profession she loves!
